Overview of Service
Preparation Phase – Prior to Week 1 and Week 1
I. Material Preparation
w Create a master plan document/fact sheet that will be mailed with the feasibility study cover letters.
w Construct personal interview questionnaire, mail survey, and the online questionnaire.
w Construct personal interview and mail/online survey cover letter.
w St. John Catholic Church approves materials prior to or during the first week of the study.
II. Participant Identification
w Provide guidelines to identify personal interview and mail/online survey participants.
w St. John Catholic Church identifies participants prior to or during the first week of the study.
III. Communications
w Provide announcements/communications to announce the start of the feasibility study and encourage participation. This may include, but is not limited to, bulletin and pulpit announcements.
w St. John Catholic Church approves all communications before they are disseminated.
IV. Administration
w Provide supply list for the feasibility study.
w St. John Catholic Church ensures that all necessary supplies are ordered and received for the first week of the feasibility study.
w Create job description for administrative support.
w St. John Catholic Church recruits administrative support to assist with mailings, data entry and appointment setting.
w Train administrative support regarding feasibility study responsibilities.
w Guide administrative support to ensure personal interview and mail survey invitations are sent during Week 1.
Interview Phase – Weeks 2-4
I. Appointments and Interviews
w Ensure appointments are being scheduled within the designated timeframe. If necessary, the Steier Group will assist with setting appointments.
w Conduct personal interviews.
II. Communications
w Provide announcements/communications to encourage participation.
III. Report Preparations
w Schedule and host mid-study presentation during Week 3. Provide summary report of initial findings.
w Schedule and send reminders for final report presentation during Week 5.
IV. Campaign Preparation
w Conduct evaluation of St. John Catholic Church’s previous development work.
w Strategize with St. John Catholic Church regarding key campaign elements.
V. Administration
w Send appropriate correspondence.
w Perform data entry of responses.
Report Phase – Week 5
I. Administration
w Examine feasibility study results and St. John Catholic Church’s development history.
w Prepare final report including key insights and recommendations for proceeding.
w Present feasibility study findings and campaign recommendations to St. John Catholic Church’s leadership.
w St. John Catholic Church writes a letter seeking permission to conduct a capital campaign from the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
