St. Vincent de Paul Society
The St. Vincent de Paul Society helps those who need food, clothing, heat, or counseling. Members of the society respond to calls to St. John’s by giving immediate assistance. Food baskets are distributed during Thanksgiving and Christmas. St. Vincent also takes part in the Christmas giving tree, whereby parishioners give gifts to those in need. To support these activities, food is collected weekly, fish fries are held during Lent, and a special collection is taken at the Sunday Masses once a month. Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month at 7 PM in the Library.
